About the Event

The International Girls in ICT Day is a global initiative led by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), dedicated to promoting STEM education and digital inclusion for young women and girls. For 2025, Sahara Consult is thrilled to co-host this impactful celebration in partnership with Loyola High School.

Despite the progress made, women in Tanzania still remain underrepresented in the tech ecosystem, STEM careers, and entrepreneurship. This year's event, themed "Expanding Access to STEM Education and Training for Young Women," focuses on bridging the gender gap in technology and empowering girls to lead in the digital economy.

We aim to inspire, empower, and equip the next generation of women with the skills and confidence to thrive in ICT fields.
